THIS REPRESENTS A SAVING OF
£157.14 OVER THE WINTER PERIOD
Figures are based upon a
Traditional Conservatory of Typical Construction
measuring 3M x 4M with a Victorian style roof and which
requires 12000 Btu's / 3.5 KW of duty to comfortably
heat / cool the room.
These comparisons have been
compiled based upon the information provided by the UK
Building Research Establishment and CMJ Sutherland
Associates. Prices are correct as of 02
February 2001 including Gas surcharges.

COOL CO Air Conditioning units
produce more energy than they use:
CoolCo Air Conditioning is
safer and more efficient than other forms of heating for
the Conservatory.
CoolCo Air Conditioning
units are extremely efficient to run. They use
approximately one third of the electricity used by a 3KW
electric fan heater. They are safe because unlike other
heaters they are permanent installations and do not
generate heat great enough to
burn.
Why?
The units are so
efficient because unlike other forms of heating the heat
generated by our units is done from the refrigeration
process and not by an electric heating element. The
electricity used by our units powers the compressor and
the fans creating a flow of warm air from within the
unit. Because there is no heating element the units do
not get hot and therefore safer to
use.
How?
Do you know how warm
air comes out the back of your fridge?, it's because the
compressor compresses the refrigerant gas which gives
off heat ready for it to flow round the system where it
will expand giving off cool air (i.e.
refrigeration).
With air conditioning heating
it's simply the refrigeration process being reversed, so
that the warm air comes out inside the conservatory and
the cold air goes outside.
