There is not much doubt that as far as the UK market is concerned Ultraframe is the market leader. You will find a lot of conservatory companies using their product. This is because of two main reasons.
1.
Their product is of excellent standard - very well thought out and with many options for "tackling" the more difficult sites, which require box gutters
etc. They have also consistently come up with innovative solutions to design problems.
2.
They were one of the first to
recognize the need for a "proper" conservatory roof system - especially for the PVC-U market. They have also been exceptionally successful in marketing their product to the trade (conservatory companies) holding, amongst other things, an annual Conservatory Photograph competition.
As you "shop around" - especially for PVCU,
it's almost certain that at least one potential supplier, if not more, will be using the Ultraframe roof system. Among the features offered by the Ultraframe roof system are:
A Victorian / Hipped roof design that incorporates "trickle ventilation". This has been added-to recently with the Ridgeflow ventilation unit.
A low-pitched roof system for lean-to roofs that works at 2.5 degrees. This is called ULTRALITE 500.
A multitude of box gutter adapters which allows their system to be used in what are often referred to as "difficult sites".
A wide range of different styled
finials, ridge cresting and tie bars so you may
"personalize" your conservatory.
Very detailed support material for both the conservatory installer and their customer. One recent example of this was the introduction of an "owners manual" for the conservatory roof.
A special "mini-portal" system, which allows Large Span conservatories to be built. Ultraframe also have a specialist division for large enclosures such as pool enclosures.
Please note that while Ultraframe do actually manufacture roofs themselves, it's more common for the roofs to be actually manufactured by specialist fabrication companies or your conservatory supplier.
