In recent times some conservatory suppliers have also supplied and fitted air conditioning units – in addition to the conservatory. If this option is offered to you then it is certainly worth considering – however it is our opinion that professionally installed air conditioning – using units that have been properly calculated for by an Air Conditioning Specialist is the way to go.

We are even aware of some conservatory special offers that includes “free air conditioning”. This is all well and good – however when the offer includes the same “free unit” no matter what size of conservatory it is clear that some people end up with units that are hopelessly undersized for their conservatories. 

Air Conditioning and Conservatory Blinds

We are often asked – if we have air conditioning – will be also need conservatory blinds and vice versa? While suppliers of both these products may indicate that you can have one and not the need the other it is our considered opinion that the better option is to have BOTH. 

Air conditioning is great for reducing heat build up and with today’s modern “climate control” options you can also use it to heat in the winter months. Conservatory Blinds are great for reducing glare (plus helping to reduce heat build up) while additionally “dressing” your conservatory and giving your privacy – especially in the evenings when you may have lights on in the conservatory. They eliminate that “Living in a Gold Fish Bowl” feeling.
